1951 Jaeger-LeCoultre Vintage Mens Watch, 18K Gold and Diamonds - The Lowell

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Item No. 6378

Long ago Jaeger-LeCoultre built their reputation as masters of watch design with iconic models like the Reverso. In vintage times the company carried on the tradition and crafted certain very distinctive watches for the less restrained U.S market.

Such is the case with this LeCoultre, one of the most desirable vintage dress models made by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Named the "Lowell", its distinctive style is striking, and it was one of Jaeger-LeCoultre's few watch made for the U.S market crafted out of 18K gold instead of 14K gold, attesting to its exclusive top-tier position among the company's American watches.

It's diamond dial matches the luxuriousness of its 18K case and is beautiful!

We acquired it from the estate of what is likely the original owner.

It presents very nicely! It is fully LeCoultre down to the original hands and signed winding crown.

The case presents as better than near mint; the dial is bright and clean, a vintage restoration.

Our watchmaker has just disassembled it down to the very last screw and freshly cleaned and oiled it. The movement hows a service history, and is quite clean and keeping very accurate time.

We also have an 18K JLC tang buckle that could be paired with it you would like. Please inquire if you're interested.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

A seldom-seen opportunity to own a fine JLC timepiece before it slips into someone's prized collection.
