1952 Rolex Oyster Royal Vintage Mens Unisex Uncommon Ref. 6144 Watch - Stainless Steel

Rolex

Item No. 6844SH

Today's offering showcases this uncommon Rolex Oyster Royal model #6144 encased in stainless steel with special dial. Built only in the early 1950's, these watches are fine and desirable.

Housed in one of Rolex's water-tight Oyster cases, the wristwatch originally offered its owner complete protection against water, dust, and perspiration. Inside the rugged case Rolex placed their Cal. 710 handwound movement.

The 6144 is one of the more uncommon mid-century Oysters. Adding to this one's desirability is its elegant honeycomb textured dial which presents superbly with its all original Rolex 'feuille" steel hands and lollipop blue steel seconds.

As a 31mm mens midsize, it can be worn well by anyone with smaller wrists.

It presents in beautifully restored condition. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

Its parts are all original down to the dial, all hands, and early original "Rolex +" winding crown.

Its case is in pleasing condition. It has a few spots of wear to the back from previous opening over the years - on the wrist it presents as just short of mint with full lugs. Its dial is bright and clean, previously restored.

One of our watchmakers has just fully disassembled its original handwound movement down to its last screw and freshly cleaned and oiled it.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
