1960's Omega Seamaster Vintage Mens Handwound Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 8075

Today's offering showcases this cool and uncommon vintage Seamaster De Ville mens watch. Unlike most Seamasters from the era which were automatic, this uncommon reference was powered by Omega's caliber 600 handwound movement. The thinner movement allows for a thinner case than with automatic Seamasters.

It measures at approximately 35mm in diameter without the crown, in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.

It has a monocoque - or one piece - case which insured water resistance and its handwound movement insured that it had a slimmer, more elegant profile than its automatic siblings. The case when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back.

It has 100% Omega parts - down to even the original signed Omega crystal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition.

The case presents as mint. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has overhauled the movement, which is running accurately.

1960's and early 70's Seamasters are great long-term buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.

For the finishing touch a new calfskin leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

The Seamaster:
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
