1961 IWC Vintage Mens Watch, Cal. 853 Automatic- 18K Gold Filled

IWC

Item No. 5596

Today's offering showcases this superior automatic IWC. It is full size, measuring 35mm in diameter, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Datejust.

It is fully original down to the dial and all hands. The dial has an even stardust speckling effect that gives it a true vintage look.

It is powered by the Albert Pellaton designed Caliber 853 movement. This mechanism's automatic winding system is a technical masterpiece, earning it high praise - Gisbert Brunner and Christian Pfeiffer-Belli in their work, Wristwatches Armbanduhren Montres-bracelets, proclaimed these movements as "one of the best automatic movements ever built in Switzerland."

IWC built this at the same they were building their famous Ingenieur line. It is a more elegant than the pragmatic Ingenieur but shares the same timekeeping qualities in normal wearing conditions.

Our watchmaker has freshly serviced the watch. It continues to keep perfect time

For the finishing touch we have installed a new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A beautiful IWC with a solid gold look for a fraction of the price.
