1969 Rolex Oyster Classic Vintage Mens Handwound Watch, Stainless Steel

Rolex

Item No. 6281

One of the more seldom seen classic vintage Rolex watches is the Oyster Precision as Rolex made most watches of this style with a date.

It features a much thinner profile than the Perpetual models - its understated, elegant and classic design contrast the "busier" look of some of the modern Rolex watches.

And this Oyster Precision has a little larger diameter than an Oysterdate and Oyster Perpetual non-Datejust watches - it's diameter is just one millimeter smaller than a Datejust.

We are proud to offer this all-original example in superior condition. Its original Rolex Oyster bracelet is correctly stamped 2/69.

Its case presents beautifully with three of lugs still nice and fairly wide; it is virtually scratch-free. And its original and untouched silver linen dial is just short of perfect mint.

It has just been meticulously detailed. It winds smoothly and is keeping very accurate time.

All waterproofing gaskets replaced with new genuine Rolex seals. For the finishing touch our watchmaker has disassembled the entire watch down to the last screw and freshly serviced it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

Note: Published examples of this model can be found in Osvaldo Patrizzi's work Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches, 2001 Edition, Vol. 2, pg. 362.
