Omega

Item No. 9684

Today's offering showcases this classic and gorgeously restored vintage Omega Seamaster day date with caliber 1022 movement.

As a Seamaster, it's a watch that has both elegance and sporting capabilities.

Here are some of its features:

  • Pioneering so-called "double quick-set" day and date features - This is an early double quick-setting day date Omega watch. Omega created the 1020 and 1022 series movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date. Though many connoisseurs associate the idea of the double quick-set watch with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega's 1020 series mechanisms were a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches.
  • Caliber 1022 movement. Fast beat (28,800 bph) balance system for greater accuracy and the higher jeweled version caliber - it has 23 jewels instead of 17
  • Seamaster model for the U.S. market. Quite of few examples of this model, which was created by the Norman Morris Agency is New York, that were in solid gold were branded and sold through Tiffany & Co.
  • All of its original parts down to its original waterproofing seal!

It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents and presents as a 9.7 out of 10.

Its case presents as mint. Its Omega dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration the movement has been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker, which is clean. It is running very strong and true.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
