1986 Omega Seamaster 200M Pre-Bond Automatic Chronometer Dive Watch - Stainless Steel & 18K Gold

Omega

Item No. 7346

Today's offering showcases this very uncommon Certified Pre-Owned two-tone automatic example of a classic steel and 18K gold pre-Bond Seamaster 200m dive watch.

These Seamasters were the pre-cursors to what are recognized as the James Bond watches.

This watch is quite uncommon in two regards, the combination of both really adds to its rarity. While the vast majority of these watches were fitted with quartz movements, this is one of the relatively few automatics. And while most of these watches were steel, this is one of the uncommon steel and gold example. It is the first automatic steel and gold example we have ever owned.

It has a unidirectional diver's bezel and quick-setting date.

Powering the watch is Omega's caliber 1109 movement officially certified as a chronometer.

They are cool watches with a great look. And this rare example one presents gorgeously. It is fully Omega. The case presents as mint and the original bezel insert is very clean. Usually the bezel insert shows the most wear on these watches - it is a 9.3 with no significant blemishes.

The dial has been meticulously restored - the gilt printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It winds very smoothly and is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch it has been carefully detailed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
