Cartier Vintage Mens Midsize Tank Mechanical Watch - Gold Vermeil, 18K Gold over Sterling Silver & Diamonds

Cartier

Item No. 5963

Designed personally by Louis Cartier in 1917 and patterned after an army tank, Cartier's iconic Tank watch symbolized speed and achievement.

Today's offering showcases this mens midsize vermeil Cartier Tank watch with diamond encrusted case. The four rows with sixty-six fiery and eye clean diamonds have been previously added by a jeweler.

It has an iconic tank case, distinctive brown marbleized dial, gold epee hands, sapphire topped crown, and mechanical Cartier movement.

Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of cheaper quartz movements for many wristwatches, Cartier contracted with watch manufacturers to produce mechanical movements designed to last a lifetime. Using traditional watchmaking practices, these gifted craftsmen poured individual attention into each wristwatch. As a result, mens Cartier wristwatches with mechanical movements are often more sought after by collectors than their quartz counterparts.

Originally designed for men by today's standard it could also be worn by a woman.

It is 100% Cartier down to its original band and buckle. It is in beautiful original condition - it only appears to have ever been lightly worn before being stored away, and still has its original Cartier stamped protective sticker on its back. Its original band is still very serviceable.

Our watchmaker has just freshly cleaned and oiled the movement making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
