1910 Patek Philippe Antique Mens 45mm Pocket Watch - 18K Gold

Patek Philippe

Item No. 8816SH

The beautiful and very fine pocket watch showcased in today's offering is a fabulous example of one of Patek's early stem wound and stem set watches.

It is an "Extra Flat" piece with a marvelous and extraordinarily high-grade ultra-thin movement. This special engine enables the complete watch to measure a mere 8.75mm thick including the crystal at its thickest point. A thinner mineral crystal would even slightly reduce the thickness.

The centerpiece of this beauty is its finely decorated dial with wonderful texturing in the center and framing of the center and subsidiary dial.

It's accentuated by the classically plain polished case which serves to not distract from the sophisticated dial.

The Patek caliber has wolf's tooth gearing, capped escape wheel and rhodium finishing. Its part are all-original with matching numbers.

We were fortunate to acquire it in very pleasing condition. Its gorgeous dial presents as very bright and clean. Its case presents in excellent condition light wear and a few pinprick indentions.

One of our Master Watchmakers has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

It is keeping time within a few seconds per day.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

If you would like us to obtain an Extract from the Patek Philippe archives for you please inquire. Patek charges 500 CHF (approx. $550) for one.

Patek Philippe:
Patek Philippe bears the standard of the finest watch manufacturer in the world and holds world records for the most expensive watches in the world.

During the early 1900's, Patek Philippe produced only fewer than approximately twenty watches per day (contrast this with Omega and other fine watch manufacturers that produced 500 - 1,200 pieces per day) making original examples very rare and collectible.
