In the 1920's, no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co. One of the company's select offerings was a line of watches emblazoned with the Tiffany & Co. name on the dial. Although the maker's name were always hidden, the retailer contracted with the world's finest watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured timepieces.
Today these special watches are sought-after by women of distinction, Hollywood actresses, and any lady desiring to wear a world-class timepiece.
For this breathtaking piece Tiffany partnered with the premier watchmaker in the world, Patek Philippe.
The very rare and exclusive ladies diamond and platinum Patek Philippe for Tiffany & Co. watch showcased in todays offering is a prime example of this phenomenon. We were very fortunate to acquire it.
The fifty-two diamonds totaling approximately one-carat on the case and holding the band, more diamonds that often found on similar Patek Philippe watches, are very high quality, as one would expect from original factory set diamonds on a watch of this caliber. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
This very special original watch still retains its original ornate floral Patek Philippe winding crown - and the movement number matches the case number.
It is in very pleasing condition, appearing to have been worn seldom and carefully in appreciation of its quality and value and then safely stored away.
Its silver Tiffany & Co. dial shows only light aging. Its beautifully engraved case is near mint and does not appear to have ever been polished and has no personalization.
A watchmaker has disassembled its original movement down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
Accompanying the watch will be an Extract from the Patek Philippe archives attesting to its authenticity and originality that will be included once it arrives to us from Switzerland.
