1946 IWC Vintage Mens Large Claw Lug Watch - 18K Rose Gold

IWC

Item No. 6812

Today's offering showcases this full, very elegant and grade IWC mens watch.

Measuring 35mm in diameter without the crown, it is in between the widths of a Rolex Date model and a Rolex Datejust. Its large dial makes it wear even a bit larger than that on the wrist.

Powering this watch is the company's impressive caliber 83 movement, renowned for its workmanship and technical merit. In addition to its hour and minute timekeeping, this manually wound engine also features subsidiary seconds.

Housing the fine movement is its wonderfully distinctive original 18K rose gold IWC case curved claw lugs, marked with IWC's Probus Scafusia hallmark. It gives the watch a panache not always found in other high grade pieces. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

Its case is in excellent condition. And its dial has been previously nicely restored.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it, and we have installed a new mineral glass crystal custom fitted to give the most unobstructed view possible of the large dial.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
