1954 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Classic Vintage Mens Automatic Watch with Bubbleback, Ref. 6284 - Stainless Steel

Rolex

Item No. 10143

Today's offering showcases this fantastic Rolex Oyster Perpetual "semi-bubbleback" reference 6284 in true expertly restored condition.

The Oyster Perpetual clearly demonstrates the qualities associated with classic Rolex watches: precision, reliability, durability, and class.

Its dial has numerals at the primary hours, in the so-called "Explorer configuration." Not seen as often as the date models, its "no date" dial and understated case give it a really pleasing and clean classic style. It's a watch that is perfectly at home being worn everyday or only for special occasions.

Housed in one of Rolex's watertight Oyster cases, the wristwatch originally offered its owner complete protection against water, dust, and perspiration.

Inside the rugged case Rolex placed one of their so-called "Bubbleback" early self-winding movements, the A260, keeping the watch powered by movements of the wrist.

It has fully Rolex parts and has just finished a true expertly done sympathetic restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition. Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice. It presents as a 9.7 out of 10.

Its case presents as beautiful mint condition. Its light silver honeycomb dial has been flawlessly restored - its printing could pass as Rolex factory done, even under magnification.

Its later period Rolex Oyster bracelet has fairly mild stretch - its finish presents as mint.

As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time better than many new Rolex watches in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch, we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A seven decade old Rolex that presents like new on the wrist!
