1958 Omega Seamaster Mens Vintage Automatic Watch - 14K Gold Shell & Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 10216

Today's offering showcases this classic and beautifully restored c. 1958 Omega Seamaster.

Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 501 movement with 20 jewels (instead of the more common seventeen jewel versions), one of the first esteemed 500's series movements.

It has swan's neck fine regulation and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era. It measures 34mm in diameter without the crown, the same size as a Rolex Date model.

Its case shape is our favorite Omega style from the era and its black dial has distinctive multi-faceted markers.

It has all of its original parts and has just finished an expertly done restoration. It presents in beautiful condition.

Its case presents very nicely. It has a bit of wear where it's designed to be pried open for servicing where the case back meets the back and remnants of aging hidden between the lugs. On the wrist it presents as just short of perfect mint.

Its very cool dial has just been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration, the movement has been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker and also timed on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. Photos of the inside available upon request.

For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.

Because of the small size and smoothness of its crown, it can feel just a little difficult to wind and set at times, but not especially so. If you have a hard time grasping smaller things, it's a great candidate for a watch winder, so that it's always ready to be grabbed and strapped on!

A high-grade classic Seamaster that presents beautifully on the wrist.

The Seamaster:
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
