Today's offering showcase this scarce and mint Ebel / Paul Breguette chronometer. Ebel created the Paul Breguette brand for the U.S. market.

It's resemblance to a Rolex Datejust is difficult to miss: The case has the same style with a fluted gold bezel; the date wheel features a roulette alternating black and red date like early Datejusts; and the watch is powered by an automatic officially certified chronometer movement. The dial even has a similar design.

At 34mm, its diameter is the size of a Rolex Date watch and slightly smaller than a Datejust.

It is all original and in gorgeous condition.

This is the first such watch that we've owned. A scarce Paul Breguette that rivals a Datejust for about a third of the price.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

We acquired the watch with what appears to be its original J.B. Champion band which is being included in the sale. J.B. Champion bands were a high quality U.S. made band, that have a collector following in their own right. The condition matches that of that of the watch.
