1960's Tiffany & Co. Mens Vintage Automatic Day Date Dress Watch - 14K Gold

Tiffany & Co.

Item No. 9672

In the 1960's like today, no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co. One of their special offerings to their most discriminating gentleman clients was a line of jeweled watches emblazoned with the Tiffany & Co. name on the dial.

Although the maker's name was often hidden, the retailer contracted with a number of the world's fine watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured timepieces.

Today's offering showcases this very classic Connoisseur of Time Certified Pre-Owned 14K gold Tiffany & Co. automatic watch.

It has both day and date complications, seen much less often than date only watches. It has a timelessly elegant style. And its mono-cocque (one-piece) case original insured the watch was especially water-resistant.

Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of quartz movements for certain wristwatches, Tiffany utilized Swiss-crafted mechanical movements. Using centuries old watchmaking practices, craftsmen poured individual attention into each wristwatch.

It measures approximately 34mm in diameter, the size of a Rolex Date model.

Its 14K gold case is in excellent condition with fairly mild signs of previous polishing. It is almost completely scratch-free.

Its clean silver was restored in vintage times. The 11 marker is slightly indented - the rest of the dial shows hardly any aging.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer, was given training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, and has done authorized work for the Cartier Service Center has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine originals, installing a new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a new Tiffany watch in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Accompanying it are its Tiffany & Co. servicing pouch, boxes, and tag.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
