Item No. 10004
$ 4,295.00
Today's offering showcases this stunning lady's vintage cocktail watch with covered lid and fine Rolex movement.
Crafted from 14K gold and bejeweled with 23 brilliant diamonds the distinctive case and bracelet embody vintage elegance and refined taste. The diamonds are white and eye clean. The photos don't begin to do justice to the sparkle and brilliance this watch gives off when it's being worn.
The case has a triple domed design set with stars with diamonds for the centers. These domes, with the center between a spring-loaded cover over the watches, set with very clean brilliant diamonds create the centerpiece of the design. On occasion Rolex used stars on their watches bound for the U.S. market to give the watch an American feel.
The original diamond bracelet, also done in 14K white gold, fits a wrist up to approx. 6.25 inches.
The U.S market contract case likely is not original to the current movement, though it is like the contract cases often used by Rolex at the time. The movement likely has been upgraded to a period correct Rolex movement that has better performance, reliability, durability, and shock resistance.
It presents in pleasing condition. The case presents as better than near mint condition with the back now rounded rather than flat to better accommodate the movement. Its original silver Rolex dial has just restored by one of the leading experts in North America.
One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Rolex parts, installing a new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).
Its very fine handwound Rolex movement is keeping very accurate time.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A fabulous cocktail watch that wears more like an exquisitely styled diamond bracelet than a watch.
As a truly unique piece with a can't be missed design, this cocktail watch would add the perfect finishing touch to outfits worn to galas, award ceremonies, or other special gatherings and make you the belle of the ball.
If you are looking for a true treasure for that special someone in your life, this is it. Modern Rolexes don't match the charm and romance of this vintage one-of-a-kind original.
