Today's offering showcases this classic and gorgeously restored Seamaster from 1962. It has a strong black dial without a date and a pleasing case style that together gives it a great look. Our photos couldn't do it justice!
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 552 movement, one the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs.
It has 24 jewels, seven more than in most similar movements, and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era.
It measures 35mm in diameter without the crown, in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and a Datejust.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
The case presents as mint condition. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done.
As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker, which is very clean. It is running exceptionally strong and true keeping time like a brand new Omega in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch a new leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
The Seamaster:
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
