1966 Patek Philippe Vintage Mens Midsize "Ultra Thin" Wristwatch, Ref. 3512 - 18K Gold

Patek Philippe

Item No. 7273SH

Today's offering showcases this handsome midsized example of one of the company's classic vintage "ultra thin" watches.

Epitomizing the essence of 'the classic watch' remembered today, this model features a manually wound movement, round gold case, vintage styled dial, and slender hands. As one writer aptly stated about a similar watch, "The extra-slim watch, whose style embraces only the strict essentials, has continued to seduce for its elegance and discretion."

Powered by a Patek Philippe caliber 175 handwound movement, the company's first ultra-thin mechanism, the watch excels in technical merits. This illustrious movement was awarded the prestigious "Geneve Quality Seal" and this example is stamped in two places with it.

We are proud to offer it in beautiful original condition, indicative of a watch worn with respect for its rarity and value.

Its elegant original case is better than near mint. The case top has wonderfully crisp unpolished lines.

Its classic original silver dial is untouched and better than near mint. The angle of the most of the photographs and their magnification make the aging appear more than it does when being worn. From most angles when being worn it looks essentially mint.

Its original high-grade Patek Philippe movement is very clean. One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. Photos of the inside available upon request.

The watch comes with a Patek band and 18K Patek buckle. The band has been worn but is serviceable. For the finishing touch if you would like to preserve the band we have installed a new unsigned Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Please inquire if you would like an Archive Extract for it.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

Please note: A similar watch is published in Patek Philippe Wristwatches, by Martin Huber and Alan Banbery, 1998, p. 201.
