1969 Omega De Ville Vintage Mens Cal. 565 Automatic 14K Gold Watch - Box, Papers & Buckle

Omega

Item No. 9663

Today's offering showcases this classic original example of one of Omega's vintage gent's De Ville watches with papers, boxes, and original boxes.

Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a pleasing case and classically vintage styled dial.

Its monococque - or one-piece - Omega case, which when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back measures 34mm in diameter - the same size as a Rolex Date model.

Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. With 24 jewels and a quick-setting date, it was the top-tier offering of the famous 500 series and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.

It has all of its original parts except the Omega crown which is a correct Omega service replacement.

Its case is in excellent condition with only fairly mild remnants of wear and fairly mild signs of previous polishing.

Its dial, with wonderful distinctively styled markers, is original and untouched.

One of our Master Watchmakers has fully serviced the watch which consisted of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing the crown and crystal tensioning ring with correct Omega replacements, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

It continues to run strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch a new genuine Teju lizard strap with the watch's original Omega buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime.
