1972 Omega De Ville Vintage Mens Automatic Classic Retro TV Case Watch with Royal Blue Dial - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 10584

Today's offering showcases this classic retro Omega De Ville in gorgeous restored condition with royal blue color dial.

Living up to its name as one of the sophisticated "De Ville" models, it features a retro somewhat "TV style" case, rich dial, and very fine ultra-thin automatic Omega movement.

On you look past the lugs, the true rich royal blue dial with light sunburst finish serves as the centerpiece. Under changing light it moves from inky navy to electric cobalt, the radial brushing catching the light in a way that feels almost liquid. In person its color is a true rich, deep royal blue.

Although non-round watches are most often fitted with handwound movements, this model can have an automatic because it is powered by a caliber 711 movement, the thinnest automatic movement the company has ever made.

The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly.

It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - the watch presents as a 9.6 out of 10

Its case presents as mint with the slightest remnants of wear. Its original Omega dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has just fully overhauled the movement. After more than five decades it is still running exceptionally strong and true, keeping time on par with a brand new Omega in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch, we have installed a brand new very dark blue calfskin leather strap with aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment. It would also pair nicely with a black strap or other varieties.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. We provide the best after sale care in the business with an extremely experienced team of four Master Watchmakers all of whom each have over thirty-five years of experience and a large number of parts. One used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center.
