1974 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Automatic Bracelet Watch, Quick-Setting Date - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 9762

Today's offering showcases this distinctively retro styled example of one of Omega's vintage gent's Geneve watches in prime original condition.

It is a classic retro Omega with tonneau case, integrated bracelet, silver gray dial, and automatic movement with quick-setting date. All of the steel pairs with the silver tone dial to give it a strong, monochromatic look.

Powering it is Omega's automatic caliber 1012 engine found in Seamasters and other models from the era. It has 23 jewels, seven more than most Omega's from the era.

It has all of its original parts down to even the crystal! It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.6 out of 10. Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice.

The rugged yet shapely case with water-resistant style screw down back presents as just short of mint with a few tiny spots of natural aging under the edge of the back and tiny hairlines on the back. On the wrist the case presents as gorgeous mint.

Its smoky silver dial is original and untouched, in mint condition. All of the luminous hour pips are intact, even when viewed under magnification. Its long, adjustable original Omega bracelet shows only slight stretch and presents as mint.

A Master Watchmaker has just fully overhauled the movement. It looks near pristine. We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch, we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Note: The watch's page on the Omega website can be found here.

A half-century old Omega that presents like new on the wrist!

Omega Geneve:

Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, and Prince William, also one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve). According to Omega the name referred to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
