1974 Omega Vintage De Ville Mens Full Size Automatic Watch with Tiffany Blue Dial - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7483

Today's offering showcases this impeccably restored example of one of Omega's ultra-thin automatic vintage watches. Living up to its name as one of the sophisticated "De Ville" models, it features a classic round case, Tiffany blue dial, and very fine automatic Omega movement.

It is nice and pleasingly larger than most similar dress watches from the era - it measures 36mm without the crown - the same size as a mens Rolex Datejust. Powering it is Omega's very fine thin automatic caliber 711 movement. It has 24 jewels and is adjusted to two positions.

The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly. It was the last very fine movement series of its kind before Omega began to make budget cuts because of the quartz revolution.

It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. Its case presents as mint with only light signs of having been polished. Its original Omega dial has been meticulously refinished in a custom Tiffany blue - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

Note that the back has been installed straight since the photos were taken.

As part of the restoration the movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running extremely strong and true. Amazingly after more than four and a half decades it continues to keep time on par with a brand new Omega in our testing position.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
