Today's offering showcases this meticulously restored vintage day date Omega TV shaped Seamaster. It is all correct and in beautiful condition.
Here are some of its features:
- Pioneering "double quick-set" day and date features - Omega created the caliber 1020 movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date.Though many connoisseurs associate the idea of the double quick-set watch with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega was a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches, evidenced by this example made about a decade before.
- Full size retro case - Its diameter is approx. 36mm, the same size as a Rolex Datejust
- Faster beat (28,800 bph) balance system for greater accuracy
It is fully Omega down to the original hands, signed winding crown, signed crystal, and even its original Omega waterproofing seal!
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents as about a 9.7 out of a perfect 10. On the wrist it presents like new. Our photos couldn't do it justice!
Its case presents as just short of perfect mint. The only visible wear are the slightest remnants under the lugs, and the bottom of the logo on the bracelet clasp shows signs of having been polished. Its Omega dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
Note that the dial is a deep royal blue. It came out looking just a little lighter in the photographs under the bright photography lights than it does in person.
As part of the restoration the movement has been recently overhauled, and is keeping very accurate time, making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
