Cartier Vintage Mens Tank Mechanical Watch - Gold Vermeil, 18K Gold over Sterling Silver

Cartier

Item No. 6050

Designed personally by Louis Cartier in 1917 and patterned after an army tank, Cartier's iconic Tank watch symbolized speed and achievement.

Today's offering showcases this Certified Pre-Owned mens vermeil Cartier Tank watch. It has an iconic tank case, classic buttercream Roman dial, blued epee hands, sapphire topped crown, and mechanical Cartier movement.

Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of cheaper quartz movements for many wristwatches, Cartier contracted with watch manufacturers to produce mechanical movements designed to last a lifetime.

Using traditional watchmaking practices, these gifted craftsmen poured individual attention into each wristwatch. As a result, mens Cartier wristwatches with mechanical movements are often more sought after by collectors than their quartz counterparts.

Originally designed for men by today's standard it could also be worn by a woman.

It presents in gorgeous condition. The case has just finished a true expert restoration and presents as mint. The plating has been redone. The dial is original and mint.

One of our watchmakers has just disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
