1920's Tiffany & Co. Ladies Vintage Art Deco Watch - Platinum, 18K Gold & Diamonds

Tiffany & Co.

Item No. 10267

In the 1240's, no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co. One of their special offerings to their most discriminating female clients was a line of jeweled watches emblazoned with the Tiffany & Co. name on the dial.

Although the maker's name were always hidden, the retailer contracted with a number of the world's fine watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured timepieces.

Today's offering showcases this stunning platinum, 18K gold, and diamond Tiffany & Co. watch made by Concord for the prestigious retailer.

Its proportions, elongated rectangular architecture, and finely detailed engraving along the case sides are pure early Art Deco - linear, architectural, and confident. The diamond-set bezel panels at the top and bottom frame the dial like illuminated brackets, giving the watch both sparkle and structure without excess.

Its silver Tiffany & Co. dial features stylized Arabic numerals and a railroad minute track that reinforce its geometric character. Its blued steel "Breguet moon" hands add warmth and period authenticity against the softly aged surface.

Its very fine movement, adjusted to two positions, is on par with the quality of IWC and other high-grade manufacturers from the era.

We were fortunate to obtain it in all original condition down to the dial, hands, and even beautiful floral engraved winding crown. Also accompanying it is its ornate original two-piece platinum clasp.

Its platinum case is beautifully constructed and remains in very pleasing condition, showing only light wear from careful use over the last century. The engraving along the case sides remains well defined, and the diamond accents continue to catch the light with refined brilliance.

Its original and untouched Tiffany & Co. dial is in very honest condition and has warmed to a darker silver tone with just a slight influence of sepia, giving it a true vintage look. It could expertly restored if you prefer the look of a restored watch...please inquire. And its very fine, Concord movement is clean.

One of our Master Watchmakers, used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center and also has done authorized work for the Richemont brands including Cartier, Vacheron & Constantin, IWC, JLC and others, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, installing a brand new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and timing testing and regulation (a $695 value).

We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping accurate time, but please do not expect modern precision from it given its age.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

If you are looking for a special treasure for someone in your life, this is it. Modern Tiffany watches don't match the charm and romance of this vintage original.
