1926 Patek Philippe Likely for Tiffany Vintage Art Nouveau Ladies Watch with Extract - Platinum & Diamonds

Patek Philippe

Item No. 7870

In the 1920's Patek Philippe, the unrivaled premier watchmaker in the world, on occasion made jewel encrusted ladies watches to meet the needs of their discriminating female clientele.

Today these special watches are sought-after by women of distinction, Hollywood actresses, and any lady desiring to wear a world-class timepiece.

The very rare and exclusive ladies diamond and platinum Patek Philippe watch showcased in today's offering is an original prime example of this phenomenon, made for the company's U.S. clientele and likely sold through Tiffany & Co. We were very fortunate to acquire it.

The thirty-six diamonds on its stunning case are very high quality, as one would expect from original factory set diamonds on a watch of this caliber. Our photos couldn't do it justice. Its case number matches its serial number.

It is in very pleasing condition, appearing to have been worn only occasionally and carefully in appreciation of its quality and value and then safely stored away.

Its silver Patek signed dial is original and untouched. Nice original dials are seldom seen on nearly 100 year old Pateks. Its beautifully engraved case is near mint and does not appear to have ever been polished.

Our Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consisted of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, installing a new correct mainspring that should power it well for many years, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $895 value). There is a light click at times during winding which doesn't affect the performance of the watch.

It comes equipped with a vintage black cord bracelet. If you would like a new black cord band, we stock brand new ones that can fit any size wrist.

Accompanying it is an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives attesting to its authenticity and originality - which costs $550 (500 CHF) to obtain. Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function.
