1930's Patek Philippe Vintage Mens Midsize Rectangular Art Deco Watch - Platinum & Diamonds

Patek Philippe

Item No. 7891

We are pleased to offer the very fine, rare, and timelessly classic Art Deco Patek Philippe wristwatch showcased in today's offering. Made for the U.S. market, this special watch exemplifies the sophisticated refinement associated with Art Deco Patek Philippe wristwatches.

It features an extremely elegant original faceted platinum case and striking diamond dial.

It is powered by its original illustrious small rectangular Patek Philippe 8-80 movement. Launched in 1935, the 8-80 was produced in a total quantity of 3,918 movements and used until the 1960's.

Extremely high grade, it has eight adjustments - five for chronometer positions and three for heat, cold, and even isochronism. Isochronism is the amount of wind left in the movement. Most watches slow down slightly as their power reserve moves toward empty. That is not the case with this watch - it is very high-grade.

We were fortunate acquire it in such beautiful condition. Its original case, made for Patek by a contractor for the U.S. market, has never been polished and shows very little wear. It has crisp facets and gorgeous lines. Its dial presents bright and clean.

Four of our Master Watchmakers worked for the last two and half years restoring the movement of this special watch to breathe new life into it (restoration value $1495). It is keeping very accurate time. A light click can be felt when winding on occasion that doesn't affect its function. If you would like us to fabricate near factory quality replacement parts for it, please inquire but be aware that it takes much time and incurs cost.

It comes equipped with a very short gray vintage strap that appears to be original and is fitted with what appears to be the watch's original Patek buckle - a longer new strap could be installed if needed.

For the finishing touch, we have detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
