1934 Omega Art Deco Vintage Mens Watch with Tropical "Botanical" Dial - 18K Gold

Omega

Item No. 8151

Today's offering showcases this very pleasing and classic vintage Art Deco gent's Omega with truly stunning naturally aged tropical dial that feels like art. The dial's natural aging has given it a "botanical" motif with striking vine and tree branch design.

This watch checks a lot of boxes. We have held onto it for a couple of years and have decided to offer it now for sale.

Here are a few of the attributes that makes this watch special:

Unique dial with beautiful natural patina design

Very elegant and classic rectangular 18K gold Art Deco Omega case that gives a the watch a sleek dress profile on the wrist.

Built during what is considered by many Omega's golden era. During this time the company's watches were runaway winners in timing contests around the world. Because of their impressive reputation, Omega received exclusive responsibility for timing the Olympic Games in 1932 and subsequent olympiads, the first company to be granted such a high honor.

Features one of Omega's well-regarded tonneau movements. Offering a full 60-hour power reserve, quite an impressive feat for a wristwatch this old and still longer than the reserves of many of the watches made today, the watch could be worn for two and a half days without needing to be wound.

Secondary, soft iron inner cover protects the fine mechanism from dust and damaging magnetic fields.

It has all of its original parts - nothing on the watch has been replaced except for mineral glass crystal.

Its case presents in excellent condition. Its dial feels like a work of art. And its movement looks just short of pristine and is keeping very accurate time.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing the scratched crystal with a new correct new-old-stock one, installing a new mainspring to make sure it is well-powered for many years, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $695 value).

For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

You'll be the only person you know with an Omega like this on their wrist.
