1939 Patek Philippe "Tegolino" Vintage Mens Rectangular Watch - 18K Rose Gold

Patek Philippe

Item No. 6484H

We are proud to offer the timelessly classic Patek Philippe wristwatch showcased in today's offering. It features an elegant curved case and silver dial with rose gold accents.

It is often referred to as the "Tegolino", thanks to its resemblance to a famous Italian rectangular cake. Patek produced this watch from the mid 1930's until the late '50's. The cases for the 425 were made by Markowsky and are slightly curved so to be comfortable on the wrist of the wearer.

It is powered by one of Patek Philippe's illustrious 9'90 movements, so well designed Patek that used it for more than 40 years. The 9'90 Patek Philippe movement is a tonneau shaped movement introduced in 1934 was fitted into many famous Patek Philippe watches such as the "Banana" (ref. 2442), the "Eiffel Tower " (ref. 2441), and the "Tegolino".

We purchased an incredibly impressive collection of sixteen special Pateks and Rolexes including this one from a doctor who was a collector's collector - a gentleman with tremendous knowledge, discerning taste, and a disciplined eye for detail. Each rare watch has its original buckle and many have original boxes.

Its 18K rose gold case retains strong hallmarks. Its silver dial is bright and clean. Note that in person its Patek printing appears stronger than the photos suggest. And its extremely high grade movement is keeping time.

It has been fitted with a Patek band and still has its original 18K rose gold Patek buckle. Accompanying it is its Patek Philippe box.
