Today's offering showcases this rare and very fine Art Deco Vacheron & Constantin mens midsize watch with gorgeous lugs. Built circa the early 1940's, it combines exceptional quality with striking styling.
Featuring an elegant case with special triple-tiered lugs with a sophisticated design and a silver and rose gold Roman dial it showcases a wonderful and distinctive late Art Deco style.
The Art Deco period, with its love for geometrical design saw the creation of striking pieces by Vacheron & Constantin. These were mainly dress watches, although some were sports watches, as well as exotic and luxurious pieces. They also were often small by today's standards, keeping in step with the tastes of the time.
With the exception of the winding crown, its part are all original to the watch. It presents in beautiful restored condition.
Its dramatic 18K rose gold Vacheron & Constantin case presents as better than near mint. Its dial is bright and attractive, previously professionally restored by one of the leading dial experts in North America. Its very high grade movement is keeping time.
One of our Master Watchmakers has disassembled the movement down to the last screw and fully serviced it including installing a correct new mainspring. It is running strong and true.
For the finishing touch we have installed a brand new Teju strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
