1944 Omega Vintage Antique Mens World War II Pocket Watch - 14K Gold

Omega

Item No. 6444

The beautiful gentleman's pocket watch showcased in today's offering is an uncommon example of a World War II Era Omega pocket watch. By the mid 1940's, though Omega had shifted the majority of its production to wristwatches a couple of decades before, they continued to make a relatively small number of pocket watches for customers who appreciated the tradition and function these pieces offered.

Powering the watch is its very fine original Omega Lepine Ultra Flat caliber which makes the complete watch with crystal measure a mere 8mm thick! It has a lot of technical sophistication and luxury for a watch in this price range.

We were fortunate to acquire it in beautiful all-original condition. It is 100% original, down to all hands, the crown, and even the mineral glass crystal!

The case body and bezel are mint and unpolished. The back shows light wear and may have been lightly previously polished. The original and untouched silvered Omega signed dial is in beautiful mint condition. And the high-grade, Omega movement is very clean.

Our watchmaker has fully disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. After nearly 55 years, it continues to run at very precise levels, keeping time within a few seconds per day.

Included with the watch is a full one-year warranty on the movement, a timing certificate attesting to its performance, and a Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
