1945 Breitling Vintage Aviator's Ref. 760 Mens Chronograph Watch - 18K Rose Gold

Breitling

Item No. JH06

Early examples of Breitling's chronographs are sought after by serious collector's, aviation enthusiasts, Hollywood celebrities and anyone who desires to wear a world-class timepiece. The dramatic wristwatch featured in this offering was one of the most popular pieces of its era for pilots, highly sought after by those individuals who had the means to afford one of the best aviation timepieces of the day encased in solid 18K gold.

Here are some of the qualities that won this watch its place among Breitling's fine timepieces:

  • Crown wheel mechanism for advanced timing accuracy
  • 45-minute timing system for longer recording of events
  • Full-featured, easy to read dial. The special outer tachometer ring measures the speed of objects, done especially for aviation and auto racing uses
  • Sleek and sexy professional style and full size case
  • Technologically advanced movement for men who demanded precision timing
  • Rare and beautiful original dial with very cool Art Deco numbers

We were fortunate to acquire it in such gorgeous all original condition. Appearing to have been stored away for most of its life, remarkably, it shows little signs of use. The 18K rose gold case presents in mint condition, retaining some of its original factory texturing. The 100% original dial is bright and beautiful with very light natural aging.

Its fine movement is clean and keeping time within a few seconds per day. It resets crisply to a perfect zero.

Included with the purchase is a 90-day C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

This is a unique opportunity to own an extremely fine example of one of Breitling's sought after timekeeping instruments and a piece of aviation history.

Breitling:
Since its founding in 1884, the Breitling firm has been known for working tirelessly to define what the perfect watch should be. Embraced by pilots since the dawning of aeronautics, Breitling watches are the only ones that grace the wrists of the world's elite aerobatic groups, namely the Blue Angels, the Thunderbirds, The British Red Arrows, and the Russian Knights. Breitling's timepieces rank with Vacheron & Constantin as the world's most superb and expensive timepieces.
