Powering this gem is a fine, early Rolex timekeeping mechanism. Featuring Rolex's patented Super Balance system as well as possessing a tonneau shape for longer running reserve and more accurate timekeeping, it employed Rolex's premier movement technology for the era.

It is in beautiful and rare all-original condition. It is fully original down to the dial, hands, correctly unsigned original winding crown, and even the original horse-hair style band with signed Rolex clasp. The dial is better than near mint, and the case is near mint with its original serial number still very readable and strong.

The movement has been cleaned and oiled and is keeping very accurate time.
