Today's offering showcases this wonderful original example of one of the company's distinctive and fine 1940's ladies dress watches.
Its charming style and the contrast of silver dial with its rose gold accents and hands, something not often found on a lady's dress Rolex from the era, is very pleasing. It's a watch full of character that suggests a rich history. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
Powering this classic is a fine, early Rolex timekeeping mechanism. Featuring Rolex's patented Super Balance system as well as possessing a rectangular shape for longer running reserve and more accurate timekeeping, it employed Rolex's premier movement technology for the era.
We really like this petite size gem and are pleased to offer it in all-original condition.
Its case is excellent condition and strongly retains its original stamped serial number on the back. Its original and untouched dial has toned to between silver and a light sepia giving it a true vintage look. Please inquire if you would like it restored.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it making it ready for immediate enjoyment. It is keeping time within approx. one second per hour.
For the finishing touch we have installed a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
