Today's offering showcases this very handsome and classic gents Jeager-LeCoultre in 18K gold that presents in gorgeous condition.
With a classic salmon "Explorer" style 3, 6, 9 dial, very elegant gold case with wonderful extra-long lobed lugs, and superior handwound movement with subsidiary seconds, its showcases the quality and gorgeous design one expects from JLC.
A mens midsize, it is well suited for someone who doesn't have a large wrist. It is fully JLC made for the South American market with all of its original parts. Its dial has been restored by one of the leading dial experts in North America.
When we acquired the watch at offering from South America, it was sold as new-old-stock that had never been retailed and with its original tags. While our opinion is that the watch isn't true new-old-stock, it presents in beautiful condition. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
Its 18K rose gold case is mint and closes perfectly tightly. It doesn't even have the slightest marks from previous opening as one will almost always find on a case of this construction. Its expertly restored dial perfectly complements the case. And its gilt finished high-grade handwound JLC movement is clean and keeping very accurate time. Photos of the inside available upon request.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Accompanying the watch are what we were told are its original tags.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
