1947 Jaeger-LeCoultre Vintage Mens Midsize Watch, Beautiful Case - 14K Gold

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Item No. 10360

Long ago Jaeger-LeCoultre built their reputation as masters of watch design.

This commitment to stylistic excellence produced a number of exquisitely sculpted watches (like the Reverso), and the company's tradition for beautiful design continued to show-up in certain models of their later American market watches like this knot lug watch, one of our favorite vintage LeCoultre dress watch designs.

The knot lug LeCoultre showcased in today's auction exhibits the style and precision one expects from the 'Grande Maison'.

It presents in pleasing condition.

Its sculpted solid 14K gold case has fairly light remnants of wear on the back from a previously installed band - otherwise it presents as scratch-free with signs of previous polishing.

Its silver dial was just restored by one of the leading dial experts in North America.

And its high-grade movement looks is very clean.

Besides the dial restoration, one of our Master watchmakers has fully serviced the watch and restored the movement which consisted of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, tightening the cannon pinion, reassembling and lubricating the movement, putting the balance in better beat, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $995 value).

It is running strong and true, keeping very accurate time. Note the numerous hand-engraved markings on the inside of the case back showing a very extensive service history.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new genuine alligator leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime.
