Today's offering showcases this handsome and classic gents Jeager-LeCoultre in 18K gold.
With a classic silver "Explorer" style 3, 6, 9 dial, elegant gold case with large lobed lugs, and superior caliber 428/2 movement with subsidiary seconds, its showcases the quality and gorgeous design one expects from JLC.
An interesting functional design element of this watch is its antimagnetic design. It has an iron ring with cap that forms a Farraday cage around the movement protecting it from magnetic and electromagnetic fields and also offering another layer of physical protection.
It is the 32mm version of one of their dress watches.
It is fully a European version JLC down to its dial and hands.
Its 18K gold case is in excellent condition and appears to have never been polished. Its dial is clean, previously restored in vintage times. And its gilt finished high-grade handwound JLC movement is near pristine and keeping very accurate time.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. We have also installed a new mineral glass crystal just like the original so the indices aren't partially covered.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
