1950’s Ulysse Nardin 14K Gold Mens Midsize Watch with Sculpted Case – Box & Tag

Ulysse Nardin

Item No. 9757

We are pleased to offer this unusual and beautifully styled Ulysse Nardin chronometer wristwatch, a very distinctive example of one of their vintage watches made for the U.S. market.

Named the Stanley, this mid-century Ulysse Nardin seems to embody the optimism of 1950s America—a time when sculpted cars, streamlined furniture, and space-age motifs influenced not only design but the way people expressed success and modernity. Built in the era that culminated with the '57 Chevy and the '59 Cadillac fin, it elegantly stands out without being ostentatious.

Just as the fins of the Cadillac or the clean lines of a Frank Lloyd Wright home captured the spirit of the era, this Ulysse Nardin reflects that same blend of artistry and progress.

From one of Switzerland’s oldest firms, this vintage Ulysse Nardin presents a refined and uncommon silhouette from the mid-20th century. Its 14K gold sculpted case offers distinctive late mid-century flair, while the silver dial with raised gold numerals and a subsidiary second dial brings an elegant and understated touch.

As a small mens midsize, it is best suited for someone who does not have a large wrist, although it comes equipped with a long band to accommodate a large wrist.

It is all-original down to the dial, hands, winding crown. Its case presents in excellent condition with light signs of previous polishing. Its honest dial is original and untouched. Please inquire if you would like it expertly restored.

Please kindly note - There were a few photography wax smudges on the crystal when this was photographed that make the top of the seconds are look blurry. That has since been cleaned off and it looks perfectly clear.

One of our Master Watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and serviced it. We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time. Photos of the inside available upon request.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

Accompanying the watch are its rare original box and tag.

For the finishing touch it comes equipped it with a brand new extra long leather strap for extra length making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Please inquire if you would like a shorter strap.

It represents an interesting convergence of design-forward case architecture and high-grade horology— if you’re looking for a vintage dress watch that bridges refined Swiss horology with the design language of 1950s America, this piece stands out as both a wearable wristwatch and a conversation starter.
