The original Direct Read line, which consists of three versions including this one, is best known for its association with Elvis Presley. Elvis famously wore the rectangular version.

As the dimpled case suggests, this popular model is known as the "Golf Ball" model.

The word Lord in Lord Elgin signified Elgin's premium line of watches which featured higher jeweled movements and more desirable cases. The 21 jewel 6 adjustment caliber 719 movement is the highest grade movement used in the direct read Elgin watches.

The watch is all original down to the crown. The movement has been recently cleaned and oiled, and we have installed a new crocodile strap for the finishing touch.
