Today's offering showcases this pleasingly rare and complicated triple-date calendar watch with two crowns by Muralt Watch Co. of Switzerland for the U.S. market.
This special watch features an unusual calendar design. The second crown located at ten is used both to advance the month in its window and to rotate the date bezel.
The case has a classic design with so-called "tropical" or "hypo-allergenic" construction of gold plated top with steel back.
The centerpiece of the watch is its awesome and complex two-tiered dial with tracks for date of the month, day of the week, and hours and minutes.
Its original dial is very beautiful with nicely toned luminous.
It is in all-original condition. Its case its honest and presents nicely. It has some plating wear which doesn't strongly detract. Note that since the photos were taken the back has been snapped on perfectly straight. Its dial is near mint with light aging and strong non-faded printing.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it and installed a new mineral glass crystal to give an unobstructed view to the very edges. Its movement is near pristine. Photos of the inside available upon request.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new Java lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
A very cool, fine and uncommon watch...
