It is fully Ulysse Nardin and has just underwent a true expertly done full restoration that took over a year to complete. It presents gorgeously and is running strong and true.
Its gold plated case presents as mint - the gold plating has been redone. Its strong black dial with unusual conical gold markers has been meticulously restored - its gilt printing could pass as UN factory done to the naked eye.
And its movement has been disassembled down to the last screw and fully serviced by our Master Watchmaker including installing a correct genuine UN set bridge.
For the finishing touch it has been equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
Ulysse Nardin is best known for creating chronometers, extremely accurate time keeping instruments often used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.
