Today's offering showcases this full size and classic mens Ulysse Nardin Chronometer. It has an elegantly shaped Calatrava case and clean white dial.
Measuring 35.5mm in diameter without the crown it has virtually the same diameter as a Rolex Datejust.
Powering it is its original well-made Ulysse Nardin handwound movement. Unlike most of the Ulysse Nardins here in the States which were made for the U.S. market, this is true all Swiss creation.
The case has a pleasing design with wide bezel and lugs. The dial is extremely elegant with gold baton indices and black outer minute track.
It has the look of a solid gold Ulysse Nardin for a fraction of the price.
It has fully UN parts down to the winding crown and all hands. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration - it presents in gorgeous condition. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
The case presents as mint. The gold plating has been redone.
The dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as UN factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has just fully serviced it. Its running very strong and true, keeping time nearly on par with a new UN in our testing position. Photos of the inside available upon request.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A classic six decade old Ulysse Nardin that presents on the wrist almost like new!
Ulysse Nardin is best known by many collectors for creating chronometers, extremely accurate time keeping instruments. Their marine chronometer used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship, and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.
