The watch is in gorgeous restored condition and presents as mint on the wrist. The dial has been expertly refinished in a custom blue. The case presents as mint.
It is powered by the Albert Pellaton designed Caliber 852 movement. This mechanism's automatic winding system is a technical masterpiece, earning it high praise - Gisbert Brunner and Christian Pfeiffer-Belli in their work, Wristwatches Armbanduhren Montres-bracelets, proclaimed these movements as "one of the best automatic movements ever built in Switzerland."
IWC built this at the same they were building their famous Ingenieur line. It is a little more elegant than the pragmatic Ingenieur but shares the excellent timekeeping qualities in normal wearing conditions.
The movement has been freshly overhauled and is running true.
