1956 Omega Seamaster Mens Vintage Calatrava Automatic Cal. 500 Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7563

Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored c. 1956 Omega Seamaster. Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 500 movement, one of the first superior 500's series movements. It has swan's neck fine regulation and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.

It measures approximately 34mm in diameter without the crown, the same size as a Rolex Date model.

It is fully Omega down to the hands and crown and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.

On the wrist it presents as mint. Its classic 50's style silver dial with dart indices has just been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It is keeping very accurate time.

1950's and 60's Seamasters are great buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.

For the finishing touch it has been equipped it with a brand new strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

The Seamaster:
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.

Omega watches are worn on the wrists of Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els.
