1956 Omega Seamaster Vintage Mens Calatrava Classic Handwound Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7671

Today's offering showcases this classic vintage Seamaster mens watch that presents in beautiful condition. Besides being hand wound, a less common trait for a Seamaster, this Seamaster also features a slightly thinner case than automatic Seamasters.

It measures 34mm in diameter without the crown, about the size of a Rolex Date watch (a couple millimeters smaller than a Rolex Datejust.)

It is fully Omega down to the hands and signed crown. It has previously had a beautiful restoration and presents as gorgeous condition.

Its desirable Calatrava case presents very nicely. The Seamaster on the back is faintly visible, despite what the photos seem to suggest. On the wrist it presents as mint. Its dial has been previously restored.

Its original caliber 420 movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is keeping time on par with a brand new Seamaster in our testing position.

For the finishing touch we have installed a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.

The Seamaster:
Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, Prince William, and one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.

Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
