1957 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Mariner Vintage Mens Watch with Power Reserve - 10K Gold-Filled & Stainless Steel

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Item No. 5374

Today's offering showcases a special Master Mariner power reserve watch believed to be made for only one year. Designed for energetic men, the Master Mariner possessed the qualities of a timepiece demanded by men accustomed to taking action - it is rugged, elegant, waterproof, self-winding and exceptionally accurate, yet housed in a case that is timelessly classic and elegant.

A power reserve watches budged as a Master Mariner line is believed to have been made for only the first year of the Master Mariner line.

Powering the watch is LeCoultre's caliber 481 movement, the first automatic mechanism ever to feature power reserve indication. A very well-executed movement, it was also used by Vacheron & Constantin in a very slightly modified version (see comparative image of the two movements below).

The watch is housed in a full size tropical 10K gold-filled case with stainless steel back. It is original down to the dial and hands.

Our watchmaker has freshly cleaned and oiled the watch.

Included with the purchase is a full one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
