1958 Omega Seamaster Vintage Mens Calatrava Classic Handwound Watch - 14K Gold & Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 6824

Today's offering showcases this classic vintage Seamaster mens watch with desirable Calatrava style case and sophisticated two-tone dial. Our photos couldn't do it justice. It case top is not gold plated - rather it is a much thicker gold shell with a tropical steel case back construction.

Besides being hand wound, an uncommon trait for a Seamaster, this Seamaster also features a slightly thinner case than automatic Seamasters.

It measures 34mm in diameter without the crown, the size of a Rolex Date watch.

It parts are all original down to the hands and winding crown. It presents in beautiful condition.

Its case presents very nicely - it has a few short hairline scratches on the back and the back shows light signs of having been polished; on the wrist it presents as just short of mint.

The centerpiece is its wonderful two-tone dial. It appears to be original and is just short of mint with toned luminous.

The center section of the dial is just slightly less yellow in tone than it appears appears in the photos.

Its fine caliber 420 movement is very clean and keeping time. One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it.

For the finishing touch we have installed a new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.

The Seamaster:
Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els, Omega timepieces rank with those of Rolex and other of the world's fine Swiss firms.

Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
