1960's Audemars Piguet Vintage Mens Full Size Thin Dress Watch with Clous de Paris Bezel - 18K White Gold

Audemars Piguet

Item No. 7488

Today's offering showcases this handsome and classic thin Audemars Piguet mens dress watch in gorgeous condition.

Featuring an elegant 18K white gold case with thin double row Clous de Paris "hobnail" bezel and downward turned lugs and a classic dial (face) that repeats the case design, it possesses timeless elegance and class.

And equipped with an extremely fine, original Audemars Piguet movement, it showcases top tier Swiss watchmaking. It has the same look as the ultra thin dress watches but without a cal. 2001 movement - this one is slightly thicker and higher grade.

Like only the very finest watches in the world - select watches from the likes of Patek, AP, and V & C, it is adjusted to five positions, heat, cold, and even isochronism. And like Pateks from the era and following it has a free-sprung balance with gold Microstella screws on the balance for regulating it - it is extremely high-grade.

It measures 34mm in diameter without the crown, pleasingly larger than most similar AP's dress watches from this era.

Epitomizing the essence of "'the classic watch" remembered today, watches like this made by Patek, Vacheron & AP feature a manually wound movement, round gold cases, understated dial, slender hands, and simple baton markers. As one writer aptly stated, "The extra-slim watch, whose style embraces only the strict essentials, has continued to seduce for its elegance and discretion."

Its has all original parts down to the hands and winding crown - it appears to have spent most of its life safely stored away. Its case presents as just short of mint. Its dial may be original or it may be a perfect refinishing - it presents as mint

A Master Watchmaker has just fully disassembled the movement down to its last screw and freshly serviced it - it is near pristine.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
