Item No. GA1
Today's offering showcases this beautiful, fine and uncommon Baume & Mercier.
It is full size, measuring 35mm in diameter, one millimeter smaller than a Datejust.
It is powered by a "micro-rotor" automatic mechanism, which was described as the greatest technical advancement in self-winding watches in 30 years when it was first introduced in the late 1950's. This technology allowed thinner dress style watches for the first time to be powered by automatic movements.
Here are a few of its features:
* Micro-rotor powered movement utilizes the smallest automatic rotor in the world, yet is so efficient it carries a two-day power reserve. Not only did Baume & Mercier utilize this technology among others, later, Patek Philippe and Chopard adopted it for use in their own exclusive, micro-rotor powered models.
* Elegant and fairly thin 18K gold case with water-resistant style screw back
* Classic original silver dial with 18K gold markers
It is in very pleasing condition. Its 18K gold case shows only very light signs of wear. Its 100% original dial is in mint condition. And its high-grade, micro-rotor automatic movement is running true.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
