Today's offering showcases this beautiful original Heuer chronograph. We just love it! I've kept in my personal collection for the last few months, and I'll be sad to see it go. Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice.
Its retro tonneau steel case with soleil finish is rugged while staying elegant enough for dress wear. And combined with the gray "reverse panda" dial, the watch's centerpiece, it gives the whole package a cool monochrome look.
Its classic Heuer case measures 38mm in diameter, a pleasing size. Its dial has 1/5 seconds markings for precision timing in sporting, racing, and technical fields.
Powering it is a Valjoux 7734 movement, the same movement that powered many of the Autavia models and fine chronographs from Breitling and Tudor among others.
The dial, case, and very fine movement together show why these watches have continued to grow in desirability over the past decade.
We were fortunate to acquire it in such gorgeous condition. It has all original parts.
Its case presents as mint with only light signs of previous polishing. The back has a few short tiny hairlines from handling and opening. The edges have strong chamfers.
Its untouched original dial is just short of perfect mint.
One of our Master Watchmakers who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker and has done authorized service center repair work for Cartier, IWC, Vacheron & Constantin and other Richemont brands, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Heuer parts, installing a new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (an $895 value). It is running strongly.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new vintage styled strap and aftermarket Heuer style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Also available for purchase is a vintage styled gray suede strap that nicely matches the dial.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
